The Inspiration Story for The Immersion Series: Translating the Underwater Experience
Like a window into the soul or a door into a quiet underwater escape, a little island in the middle of the Pacific became inspiration. Daily swimming sessions viewing the calm fluid momentum above the water and under the surface inspired this new series of artwork. This sanctuary of natural wonder fully populated with the easy movement of vivid colors and patterns created a deeply calming feeling of weightlessness as I became one with the peaceful momentum of flow and tranquility. In the awe of nature's raw beauty we find a connection to the purest expressions of life. Every work of art in this series is inspired by that feeling of weightless tranquility.
A Printmaker Inspired by the Wonder of Creation
“Just as the momentum of diverse symbiotic relationships ebb and flow in our natural ecosystems so also can we as a community work to appreciate and preserve our planet for generations to come. “
